Myartwork is primarily concerned with exploring popular attitudes about leisureactivity, entertainment, and art appreciation. Most of my pieces areperformances or have a performance element to them. Past works have played withthe nature of violation, social interaction, good taste (a dinner party stagedas a burglary, wherein acts of transgression result in a series of domesticcontributions and antisocial behaviors become necessary), attitudes about thenatural world as entertainment (hunting with stereo and microwave), art-makingas a consumable act of death-defying magic, and intoxicated behavior (karaokeunder the influence of a mouth-paralyzing plant).
